Each year, the Academy enrolls fifth, sixth, and seventh graders for the
upcoming school year! In order to enter your student in the lottery for
the 2008-2009 school year, please follow the process below.
ENROLLING A STUDENT
- Admission to the Academy of the Pacific Rim is granted through a
public lottery.
- There
are available seats in the 5th, 6th, and 7th
grades.
- Interested families are encouraged to call the Director of Enrollment, Michelle Stanfield-Adams, at 617-361-0050 ext. 111 for more information.
- We
strongly encourage, but do not require you to attend one of our four
Information sessions, held at the school on the dates listed below.
Spend an hour at the Academy to learn about our program, and then fill
out an enrollment form. If you cannot make any of the listed times,
please call Ms. Adams and she will provide you with an enrollment form
after Feb. 15th. (There is no preference for those who fill
forms out early.)
- Saturday January 19th, 10-11 a.m.
- Tuesday, February 5th, 6-7 p.m.
- Saturday, February 9th, 10-11 a.m.
- Thursday, February 13th, 6-7 p.m.
- The enrollment form asks basic information about your family's
address and the current school your student attends.
- Siblings of currently enrolled students are not required, though
strongly encouraged to attend an information session.
- The lottery will be held in the Academy cafeteria on Wednesday, March
12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. This is a public lottery, and anyone is welcome to attend.
Attendance is not required, however.
- Accepted students are notified within a week of the lottery and waitlisted students are notified the following week.
