Our students and families come to the Academy with a variety of experiences and perspectives. What we share in common, however, is a commitment to high standards, hard work and working closely with each other along the road to college.

STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS

Geography : Students enter the Academy through a lottery which gives preference to residents of Boston .  Our students come from all 13 neighborhoods of Boston , with the largest group coming from Hyde Park (40%).

Socioeconomic Status : 50% of the student body lives at or below the poverty line.

Support Services : 18% of our students receive special education services, including small group academic support, classroom accommodations, speech/language and occupational therapy and counseling.

Gender : The student body is composed of 50% males and 50% females.
