Our goal is to ensure that our core academic and character program is funded by our public revenue from the state. However, we are continuing to build out and renovate our century-old factory building and we want to provide our students with support activities and enrichment offerings during our extended day and year. Thus, we invite you to invest in the Academy. Here are some of the areas of need:
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Scholarships for seniors ($500 for each student earning scholarship or $10,000 overall)
Invest in a student ($100 per student or $4,000 overall)
College Visits ($50 per student or $7,000 overall)
STUDENT ENRICHMENT
China Exchange Program ($2,000 per student or $20,000 overall)
Eighth Grade Trip to Washington DC ($400 per student or $20,000 overall)
Transportation to Weekly Field Study for Seniors ($100 per week or $4,000 overall)
LITERATURE AND THE ARTS
Fine Arts Department (three productions costing $1,000 each or $3,000 overall)
Visiting Author Series (two visits at $2,000 each or $4,000 overall)
Building our classroom libraries ($50 per classroom or $400 overall)
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Development for staff ($300 per faculty member or $12,000 overall)
INFRASTRUCTURE
Technology Upgrade ($25,000 for thin-client server upgrade)Facilities Renovation ($20,000 for entrace/stairwell renovation)
Capital Fund (We are looking to build our cash position for a potential facilities purchase.)
